My husband and I finally got a chance to visit Opera Bistro. What a fine eating establishment! We have seen it advertised on Diningpick.com but never got an opportunity to try it.To have such a place in Saint John is a gift! The food was amazing!Warm lobster salad you have to try!The blueberry struesal..excellent. The fresh decaf was the best ever I have ever had. We will definitely be recommending Opera Bistro to everyone!
After seeing parts of a couple of episodes of "Opening Soon" that featured this restaurant being created, it was a bit unnerving to be served by the female half of the husband & wife team. We pretended to not be star struck (one of my guests was not aware of the TV show), & our coats were taken & hung up for us, a nice touch & the place filled up very soon after we were seated. The meal was great, although service did suffer as it filled up as I beleive only the wife was talking to guests, serving, & taking orders, etc. The other 2 attendants seemed to be very much "extras", it was a one woman show, which would probably be quite charming when not so busy. I'll bring wifey & report back.
